Alpine, CA Homes for Sale
Alpine, California, as it name implies, is located in the mountainous region east of the San Diego. The quiet alpine town is little more than a half hour's drive outside the city on I-8. Although it borders the Cleveland National Forest, Alpine is less than 15 miles from El Cajon and the rest of North San Diego County's metropolitan area.
Sixty miles to the north of Alpine CA, one can find the world famous Palomar Mountain State Park with its historic Palomar Observatory. Although the observatory's telescopes are actively searching the skies each night, the astronomical research center is open to the public almost every day of the year.
